PYP Piranhas are represented in records numbers:  54 athletes representing Palm Harbor, Eastlake, Dunedin, Clearwater and Tarpon Springs swam the preliminaries and 47 athletes returned for the Championship Finals Saturday night at the The Long Center in Clearwater.  Amazing job Piranhas!

PHUHS 2008 Boys Team Captures 3A State Championship!

Led by PYP Head Coach Lisa Bitting, the PHUHS Hurricanes establish an indelible mark in

Pinellas County History!

Justin Chambers - Blake Freeman - Ryan Edens - Adam Sittman - Mark Gettino - Adam Smythe

These young men, along with their PHUHS teammates, worked together as a team to earn the first Boys State Championship Title in Pinellas County History!  It is only the 2nd Pinellas County team ever to win a State Championship, the first being in 1985 Seminole High School Girls - lead by Team Captain Lisa Bitting.  How perfect that Coach Lisa is the one to take Pinellas County back to the top!

We are so very proud of you Coach Lisa and all of our PYP athletes!

East Lake High School did a fantastic job hosting this event at the Palm Harbor YMCA on Friday, October 24th.  The weather played a small role throughout the day, but these swimmers were determined to finish their meet.  393 swimmers representing 15 schools in Pinellas County were in attendance and we are very proud to share the success of our Piranhas!
